Our Story
A Family Tradition of Legal Excellence Since the 1930s
The Martínez-Abarca family’s legal tradition began in the 1930s, when José María Martínez-Abarca Díaz founded the law firm Martínez-Abarca Abogados in Murcia.
Inspired by his dedication to the legal profession, eleven of his seventeen children went on to become solicitors, barristers, registrars and public prosecutors, continuing the family legacy and establishing a reputation built on professionalism, integrity and trust.
Long-standing history
Today, the third generation proudly continues that tradition through Martínez-Abarca & Muñoz Solicitors (MAM Solicitors).
Building on decades of legal experience, MAM Solicitors was established in 1991 with a clear objective: to provide specialist legal support to international clients buying, selling and owning property in Spain.

As demand from foreign property owners grew along the Mediterranean coast, so did the firm. We expanded to Vera (Almería) in 2002 and later opened our San Javier (Murcia) office in 2008. Today, together with our office in Orihuela Costa (Alicante), we proudly assist clients throughout the Costa Blanca, Costa Cálida and Almería regions.
